As a facility’s manager for a large well known university, Mike Burns was disappointed with several of the contractors he dealt with. They seldom showed up when they were supposed to. The contractors regularly missed deadlines. Cost overruns seemed to be habitual. The finished product was sub-par on many occasions.
In the year 2000, Mike approached his wife Glenda and two sons with the idea of delivering superior construction services.
Drawing upon his previous background of not only a facility’s manager but as a superintendent with a large well known Brentwood, Tennessee based construction company, they decided it was time to create a construction company to deliver a quality finished construction project on time and within budget. Thus, Burns Services, Inc. was formed.
